Sherri was born January 22, 1947 in Barnsdall, OK, the daughter of Clem and Mary Katherine (Clark) Starr and died Sunday, February 26, 2017 in Muskogee, OK. Prior to retirement, Sherri worked as a registered nurse at Muskogee Regional Medical Center for 24 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family; and watching butterflies.

Survivors include her children, Ginger Whorton and husband, John, of Muskogee, Tonya Carlin and husband, Gordon, of Muskogee, Heather Ward and husband, Darren, of Tulsa, Doug and wife, Jennifer Perry-Hunter of Porter, Jeanette Dugan and husband, Tim, of Porter; grandchildren, Jeremie Whorton, Hank Whorton, Kristin Smith, Carlie Whorton Gonzalez, Dustin Lamberson, Kaysia Lamberson, Cambry Lamberson, Jacklyn Carlin, Carson Ward, Dylan Perry-Hunter, Shelby Gaston, Breanna Perry-Hunter, Nick Perry-Hunter, Natalie Perry-Hunter, Josh Dugan, and Wesley Dugan; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Clark Marks, Gary Marks; sister, Pamela Rogers; and cousin, Judy Devore. She was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Starr; parents; and husband, Nick Joseph Zelnick III.

The family will greet visitors on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
