Obituary for Nancy Cohan
Nancy Marie Cohan, 91,of Vero Beach, died Friday, March 3 with her loving family by her side.
She was born to the late Paul and Mary Herron on November 7, 1925 in Ithaca, New York. Nancy attended Nazareth College in Rochester New York. She married Walter E. Cohan in 1948 and they lived together in New York, New Jersey, California and Connecticut, before relocating to Vero Beach in 2005.
Nancy worked in retail for 20 years at Talbots’ and loved her volunteer work at Indian River Hospital where she worked for close to 20 years.
She was an active member of Holy Cross Parish in Vero Beach and interests included reading, needlepoint but most important her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Nancy is survived by husband Walter, son Walter E. Cohan Jr of Tiberon California, Timothy P. Cohan of Darien, CT, Kathleen A. Haire of Darien, CT, Christopher T. Cohan of Aspen, Co, and Jeffrey M. Cohan of Watertown, CT. She is also survived by ten grandchildren.
A celebration of Nancy’s life is being planned for the future.
