Condolence From: Mariangel Rodriguez
Condolence: Dear Elias, Mando, Sylvia and Raquel,

Your sweet Mother known as Jessie to us,

Started working with our father J.J. Rodriguez Sr. owner of the Teatro Pan Americano ( which was opened as a Spanish Language movie house in 1941 here in Dallas, Texas ),
when she was just a very young girl. Daddy used to say that he had to put a little stool for her to reach the pop corn machine in order to make and serve it to the movie goers. Jesse was one of the first people my Mother, Maria de los Angeles met when she first came to Dallas after marrying J.J. in 1949. Both of our parents loved her. When she married Elias, both he and Jesse became like members of our family. Jessie and Elias continued very loyal to our Daddy and various movie ventures that he had throughout a 42 year history. As the children from both couples were born we all grew up together with our lives centered around the movie theatre (which later became known as The Festival (Cine Festival). The movie house closed in 1983 but our love for Jesse and the entire Benavidez family has endured a lifetime. Jesse and each of you will always be in our hearts and etched in our memories forever.

With condolences, and all of our love we are with you at this time of loss.

Mariangel and the J.J. Rodriguez Sr. Family
