The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James Gaughan can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Our sincere sympathies to Jim's family. I fondly remember Gr 13 history with Mr Gaughan, where we studied Allport's 'The Nature of Prejudice' and had round table discussions about society's ills. The classes were always interesting. In my adult life any time we met on the street it didn't take long before the conversation got deep. I always enjoyed meeting up with Jim and am the better for having known him.

Tous les deux se parlait souvent au téléphone et avait conservé un bon contact et amitié.

Condolence: We are saddened to hear of Jim's passing. Jim was my mentor when I taught at IFSS from January 1977-June 1980. We kept in touch ever since. I will miss his loud voice over the phone bringing me up to date on his adventures, IFSS and my teaching colleagues.

Condolence: Deepest sympathies to Mr. Gaughan's family. All of his students have been lucky to have had a little piece of him with them, for he shared himself with us all. For years I had hoped I would see him to tell him what an incredible influence he had been in my life. I was so thankful to cross paths with him a couple of years ago and ceased the opportunity to thank him and let him know how much I appreciated his work and the influence it had on my life. They just don't make them like him anymore! Rest in peace, Mr. Gaughan!
