Barbara Jane (Bent)  Panza
Barbara Jane (Bent) Panza died peacefully on Friday March 10th, 2017 at home in Acton surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by her sons, David and his wife Rosemary Brady Panza, and Paul and his wife Laura Cunningham Panza. She was loving sister of Fran Sorensen, Fred Bent and Barry Bent and predeceased by two brothers Alan and Bobby Bent. She was a beloved grandmother to Nicole and Jordan Panza and a loving aunt to 14 loved nieces and nephews. She also left behind too many good friends to name.

Born in Malden Massachusetts, Barbara raised her family in Arlington and later moved to Acton where she found a beloved second home. She was fearless in life and in all culinary pursuits. Barbara was a perennial hostess who enjoyed hosting friends and family for food, fun and mandatory games. She loved to travel and was always available for a new adventure. Her mystery trips were renown some more successful than others.

Barbara was highly involved in her community and was the Vice President of Acton Council of Aging. She was a proud employee of McLean Hospital for 35 years. True to her giving spirit Barbara made the decision years ago to help others after her death by donating her body to Harvard Medical School.
Her memories and loving spirit will be cherished by all who loved and knew her.

All are invited for a gathering of family and friends at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Mass Ave, (Rt 111) Acton on Thursday March 16th from 3:30 to 7:30pm.
