The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Paul Baker can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Jerry O'Connor
Condolence: Deepest condolences to the entire Baker family on this very sad occasion. Paul was quite a character back at Keveny and always a positive influence. I still remember the time when he went up on the podium with the returning Cohoes POW at the press conference on the steps of City Hall in '73. No connection to anyone, just acted like he belonged for 15 minutes of fame. He did belong and will be missed!

Condolence From: Paul Zullo
Condolence: Dear Baker Family, Cha, & Matthew,
I was so sad to hear of the passing Paul. We first met Paul when we moved to Hansen Ave over 20 years ago. That was the start of our "Neighborhood Bro-mance". From the first hello to saying goodby two weeks ago last Sunday at St. Peters; there was always a Paul Baker smile in our meetings. I am going to miss our daily "Pauley, how you doin!" yell from down the block. The Hansen Avenue Neighborhood Association (H.A.N.A.) will never be the same. Watch over us Pauley, and as always, make sure we're smiling. Love, "The other Pauley", Paul A. Zullo

Condolence From: Father John Lanese
Condolence: Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers as you journey through these days of remembering Paul. I have many memories of the joys of his high school years. He now rests in the peace and love of the Lord, and know that he will rise with a Him in the fullness of times. His spirit will always be with those whom he loved, and he will watch over them in love and blessing. Rest In Peace, Paul.
Father John

Condolence From: Debra Lehner Nier
Condolence: I have such great, fond, endless, fun memories of Paul. I spent many days after school at Keveny in detention when he would make faces imitating Sister Biscone behind her back, whenever she was addressing me. She told me every time, “if you think this is so funny Ms. Lehner you can stay after school”. When she would turn around and look at Paul, he would put on a straight face in an instant. Paul knew my weakness was lacking self-control; on the other hand he had mastered it. I never regretted being in detention, the laughs Paul gave me were priceless and always worth the consequence. My prayers are with the entire Baker Family. May you find comfort in your memories.
