Condolence: Dear Stewart family, Ever since I learned of Steve's death I have been thinking of him and your family and how we go way way back with the Stewarts and the Hoods. Steve was a lot like his Grandpa Hood. Both characters that could make anyone smile!!! He will be missed by so many people! May the Lord give you His strength and peace today and in the days ahead.

I just learned of Steve's passing. I am so sorry I can't be there for his celebration. I always got a kick out of him visiting at Todd's (Stewart Oil). He always had the oxygen tank with a cigarette in hand!

Condolence: It was with sad heart I read of Steve's passing. I too knew Steve from his early days at Austin School, and fond memories of our competition for who would win the blue or red track ribbons. And memories of our Junior High sports events, especially setting a record in 8th grade of loosing every game, and going on to our Freshman year in High School and receiving our Trophy for the Varsity Team winning the State Championship. Those were the days in High School. I had not seen Steve for many many years, but happen to be in town last year and stopped by the Varsity, and to my surprise I saw Steve and had a great conversation. Steve always lived life to the fullest and will be sincerely missed.
My deepest heart felt condolences to the entire Stewart family.

Condolence: I have many fond memories of Steve..both from high school and college. He was one of a kind....I remember him as talking tough, but the biggest softy around! Surround yourself with all the best of him.

My sympathy in your loss of Steve. I have very fond memories of him when I worked with Katie, Sally and Steve at the Drive In. He would come over the noon hour and cook, joke and harass all of us. He was a devoted son always making sure his mom was ok. I will remember Steve with a smile for the smart A** comments and a grin that always left me with a smile. His gruff voice and manner a cover for a very soft hearted man. Prayers for you all.
