Russell C.  Simon
Russell C. Simon of Summerview Drive, Arcade died Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo at the age of 87.

He was born January 1, 1930 in Johnsonburg, PA a son of the late Russell and Helen (Meyers) Simon.

He worked on the assembly line at General Motors in Buffalo. He enjoyed to read and was a United States Army Veteran and served in the 82nd Airborne. He volunteered at the food pantry in Arcade and also delivered Meals on Wheels in Cattaraugus County. He was also very proud to be a farmer while he was living in Pennsylvania.

He is survived by his wife: Nancy (Badding) Simon whom he married December 13, 1986 in Amherst; his children: Randy (Sandy) Simon of Alden, Larry Simon of Ridgway, PA, Rusty (Christine) Simon of West Jordan, UT, Mark Simon of Ridgway, PA, Tanya (Gary) Hillman of Clarence, Elizabeth (Andrew Green) Simon of East Aurora, and Amber (Michael) McGranor of Collins; also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son - Gary Simon; his siblings: George, Bill, Lillian, Jerry, Virgil, Tobianna, John and Lester Simon and Linda Marciniak; also preceded in death by a grandchild - Krista Hillman.

There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11 AM at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade. Rev. Shawn Hannon will officiate.
