Obituary for Paul D. Yager
Paul D. Yager, 72, of Indianapolis, IN passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, IN. He was born January 27, 1945 in Madison, IN to Paul L. and Juanita (Baxter) Yager. He married Edith Yager on August 17, 1977 in Indianapolis, IN, she preceded him in death. He worked for Witco Corporation in Indianapolis, IN for over 30 years. Paul was a member of the West Side Apostolic Church.
Survivors include his sons, Paul Alan Yager, Jeff Yager, Dale Sachtleben, Clay Sachtleben, Mark Byrd, and Stanley Byrd; daughters, Kay Mercer, Jean Sachtleben, Rose Teague, and Joann Collins; two brothers, Jimmy Yager, and George Hewitt; three sisters, Debra Collins (John), Sherry Ferrell, and Denise Moore; 29 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; a son, Phil Sachtleben; and his parents.
Pastor Tony Oliver will conduct a service Friday, March 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South US 31 (Morton St) Frankiln, IN, 46131. Friends may call Friday, March 17, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the mortuary. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, IN.
