Funeral services for Mr. David Milton Mahoney of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00pm Sunday, March 19, 2017 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. Eugene Brown and Rev. Calvin Stapp officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the funeral home.
Mr. Mahoney was born April 10, 1925 in Mesa, AZ and passed from this life on March 16, 2017 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 91. He was the owner and operator of Mahoney’s Camp R Land and served his country in the United States Air Force.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mahoney and one grandson, Cameron Mahoney.
Survivors include his children, Judy Reneau and husband Charles of Swartz, LA, Peggy Albritton and husband Melvin of West Monroe, Philip Mahoney and wife Carolyn of West Monroe and Rita Ford and husband Paul of West Monroe; one sister, Lucille Nylander of Simi Valley, CA; also survived by seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be James, Justin and Jeremy Reneau, Mel and Jason Albritton and Lawrence Matthews.
