The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Delia Allwright can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Gail Sallafranque Farmer
Condolence: Dear Allison and family
It does not seem that long ago since I had seen your mom enjoying her lunch at Riverview Heights with my mom. Although, it is nearly a year since I lost my mom and she always would tell me when you were up to visit your mom. I also remember seeing the beautiful flowers in front of the house on Irving Street when we went by to school. May you all enjoy the memories that you have of her.

Condolence: Dear Don, Rob & Allison,

My Mom and I extend our deepest sympathies. Delia/Mrs. Allwright was a wonderful neighbour and friend. Although my Mom is very frail, she is very lucid and she was quite sad to learn of Delia’s death — reminiscing of the ‘original’ Irving St. neighbours, Delia’s stunning gardens and her dependability and willingness to always help. And I too will always remember, as a child and then later in life, how Mrs. Allwright always met you with a smile, a genuine interest in what you were doing and a joyful pride to share stories about Alf, her children and grandchildren. We will be with you in spirit as you celebrate the funeral mass on Thurs..

With prayers and sympathy,
Teresa Knott & Christine

Condolence: My condolences to Don, Rob and Allison and their families. Aunt Dee was a gracious and kind woman who welcomed my parents to Canada over 60 years ago. Aunt Dee and Uncle Alf helped my parents make their start and provided us with many fond memories of our early years growing up. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
