Obituary for Joseph Timothy Ronan Sr.
BANGOR, MAINE
Joseph Timothy Ronan, Sr. - age 86, of this city, died March 10, 2017 at Maine Veterans Home after a brief illness. He was born in Rumford, ME on March 15, 1930 the son of Thomas Ronan Sr. and Nellie E. (Catt) Ronan.
Mr. Ronan served honorably as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an investigator by the Maine Public Utilities Commission for 10 years. He was previously in law enforcement for many years.
He was predeceased by his parents and by his wife, Joan J. (Brown) Ronan.
Surviving is a daughter, Catherine Reeves; two sons; Timothy Ronan of Canaan, ME and Stephen Ronan of Augusta, ME. and two grandchildren: Ryan Reeves of Lewiston, ME and Hannah Ronan of Augusta, ME.
There will be no public visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Spring at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Augusta. Burial will follow in Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta.
Arrangements are under the direction of Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, ME.
