Obituary for Kathleen E. May

Kathleen  E.  May
Kathleen E. May of South Meriden, went home to her Lord on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the Meriden Center.
Kathleen was born in Bridgeport on February 4, 1935, the beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Brennan) May. Kathleen and her family moved to Meriden when she was two years old. She attended Trumbull Grammar School, Jefferson Junior High and graduated from Meriden High School with the class of 1953. She graduated from Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing with the class of 1956 where she earned her R.N. degree. Kathleen held various positions and retired as a Quality Review Coordinator. She was a parishioner of Holy Angels Church. Kathleen was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Ladies Auxiliary and the Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association.
She is survived by her devoted sister, Alice M. Gosselin and brother-in-law, Fernand (Fred) Gosselin; her nephews, Thomas Gosselin and his wife Linda of Southington and Philip Gosselin and his wife Alice of East Hartford; her great-niece, Molly May Gosselin and her great-nephew, Clint Gosselin, both of East Hartford. She also leaves an aunt, Claire May of Shelton, CT and her uncle, William May of Conrad, MT and several cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Patricia May Roy and brother-in-law, Fernand Roy.
Kathleen was a very kind and caring person. She had wonderful friends. She loved her beloved dog, “Boots.” She will be missed deeply by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Holy Angels Church, 585 Main Street, South Meriden. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, CT 06450 on Wednesday, March 29th from 5 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to Holy Angels Church, 915 Main St., So. Meriden, CT 06451
Her family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the wing 200 staff, who cared for Kathleen and gave her wonderful care and medical treatment. Also, to the Franciscan Hospice Care – 267 Finch Ave., Meriden, CT 06451 – For giving Kathleen much love and care to the end.
