Jeanne M Casey- McHugh died peacefully on her birthday Tuesday, March 28th, 2017 at the Maples Nursing Facility in Wrentham surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Charlotte, North Carolina on March 28, 1932. She was 85. She was raised and educated in Charlotte. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Virginia (Evans) McShane and sister of the late Daniel E McShane Jr. Jeanne was predeceased by her husbands Richard J Casey and Robert McHugh.
She lived 19 years in Medfield where she raised her son and returned to Charlotte when her husband retired in 1988.
Jeanne was homemaker. She loved shopping, decorating her home, traveling and lunches out with friends. She was involved in her condo complex where she was the former president of her condo association.
She enjoyed traveling to Franklin for the holidays and other special family get togethers and she looked forward to seeing her grandchildren and family traveling to Charlotte for an extended vacation every summer.
She moved back to Franklin in 2011 where she lived with her son, daughter in law and grandchildren for 5 years.
Jeanne leaves behind her only child Richard J Casey Jr and his wife Lisa of Franklin, granddaughter Marissa Leavitt and her husband Chris, and grandsons Ricky, Drew and Brian. She is survived by her cherished great granddaughter, Bria.
Jeanne leaves behind many loving family and friends including her nieces and nephew Maureen McShane, Mary Catherine McShane both of North Carolina and Daniel E McShane III LT. CMDR, USN, and also her dear friend Lovie Davis of Charlotte.
Services will be private. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Charlotte, North Carolina.
