Resident of Livermore
Ron was born in 1939 and raised in Ventura, CA and a 1957 graduate of Ventura High School. In 1963 he graduated from Chico State University and was a member of Lambda Pi fraternity. He served 2 years in the US Navy. Pleasanton, CA was home to Ron and his family for over 30 years. Ron was always a hard worker throughout his life in providing a prosperous future for his family. He enjoyed fishing, boating, his corvette and vacationing with his family. Ron was a senior contract negotiator with Lockheed Martin for twenty three years.
Ron is survived by son Larry Schneider and his wife Jennifer; daughter Jennifer Boyd, her husband Ryan and their son Griffin Boyd. He is also survived by brother Walt, his wife Terry, and nieces and nephews. Ron and wife JoAnn were married for 50 years. He was preceded in death by JoAnn (2016), and his parents Ed and his wife Julia (Krebs) Schneider.
Ron's wonderful and keen sense of humor was always apparent when he shared his colorful, witty jokes with family and friends during his seventy-eight years of life. Here's a toast to Ron Schneider- he truly will be missed.
Graveside services will be held at Oakmont Memorial Park in Lafayette at 11AM on Sunday April 2, 2017. In lieu of flowers, you may honor Ron with a donation to Shiner's Hospital for Children, or The Parkinson's Institute.
