Condolences

Condolence From: Anne Wright
Condolence: I will always remember Tommy as one tough guy, a 'Mountain Man,' if you will. Andy, my husband, and I hunted with Tommy for a couple of years on a deer lease in Bronte. Tommy didn't need the comfort of the hunter's cabin, he pitched a tent in the area where he hunted, built a fire to cook over, and worked his area of the lease to make it prime hunting territory.
Tommy brought his hunting dogs to the lease during bird season. Wow, he was brilliant with his dogs. I was in awe as his dogs followed his signals to hunt quail. In fact, when my lab was a puppy, Tommy helped train him so that I could take him on my long distance runs. In 15 minutes, Tommy had my lab pup running at 'heel.' 10 years later, my lab still runs with me at heel, thanks to the expertise of Tommy Jackson.
I remember one trip to the deer lease when Tommy taught me how to shoot skeet. I couldn't hit the side of a barn with my shotgun until he told me to take aim with both eyes open! He also gave me valuable advice on deer hunting. He told my not to over-think it, just to raise my rifle, take aim and pull the trigger. I shot my first deer doing everything he taught me.
One Valentine's Day - 12 years ago, Andy and I went to the hospital nursery to meet Hunter, Tommy's newborn son. I will always remember that big smile on Tommy's face as he welcomed his son into this world. My heart goes out to Hunter now as he faces the challenge of living with only the memory of his father. Hunter, Andy and I will always be there for you and your mother. We love you and support you in this difficult time and for the rest of your life.
