Obituary for Stanley E. Cohick

Stanley E.  Cohick
Stanley E. Cohick, 92, a resident of the Shippensburg Health Care Center, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 in the home.

He was born December 24, 1924 in Newville, PA. Stanley was a son of the late John and Florence Piper Cohick.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Carlisle. Stanley retired from Fickes Silo Company, Newville. He was a United States Navy Veteran during World War II and a member of the Hamilton-Myers VFW Post #6070, Newville.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty R. Zinn Cohick who passed away August 13, 2010, his second wife, Phyllis W. Jumper Cohick who passed away June 11, 2016, and three brothers.

Stanley is survived by three sons, Barry E. Cohick and his companion Dina Chester and Bennis R. (Donna) Cohick all of Hilton Head, SC and Daniel R. (Lola) Cohick of Shippensburg, four grandchildren, Chris, Heather, Tim and Tawnia and four great grandchildren, Kia, Olivia, Seth and Bryce, two daughter-in-law, Anne Cohick of Hilton Head, SC and Dolores Cohick of Carlisle and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Westminster Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Shippensburg Veterans Council. Officiating will be Chaplain Brian Percy.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 2700 Walnut Bottom Rd., Suite 302, Carlisle, PA 17015.
