Condolence: To Thanassis' family, friends and everyone whose lives he touched:

I am heartbroken to know we’ll never see Thanassis again. I counted him among my very dearest friends. I consider myself so lucky to have had him in my life. To know Thanassis he was happy go lucky, carefree and had a love of life. I truly admired him.

Thanassis’ compassion, generosity, kindness for others and great advice gave evidence of the wonderful person he was. His work on behalf of the Greek community, his care about our culture and his pride and patriotism demonstrated the great person he was and is a great loss to our community.

All of us who knew him are better people for having had him in our lives. Thanassis may have left this earth but we’ll have him in our hearts forever.

May your memory be eternal dear friend, for you are worthy of blessedness and everlasting memory.

Condolence: Dear Family and Friends,
We are very sorry to have to say goodbye to a wonderful person, father, grandfather, uncle, parishioner, engineer and active member of the society.Thanassis lived a full life and offered love, help and a sweet word to all of us when we needed it. He lived in the true spirit of Christinity in every sense because he loved people and life. My father met Thanassis in 1962 when they were studying at MIT. Then our families discoverd that we were relatives from Trikala four or five generations back. I was a baby then. I returned to Boston 23 years later and met Thanassis and Kiki. They took me under their wings. It felt as if I had a father and a sister in Boston, not distant relatives, because they did everything possible to facilitate my adaptation to the new country. I finished my studies at BU and moved back to Greece. I always saw Thanassis in the summers when he came to Greece. He made careful plans to visit all the relatives and friends, and spend time with each one of us whether we lived in Thessaloniki, Athens, Volos or Mytilini. He attended my daughter's baptism in Tinos, I honestly admired his energy. The last time I saw him was in the summer of 2015 in Athens when we visited a friend who had suffered a severe stroke. I will never forget how nice and sensitive he was. I get the chills when I think that he also had the same fate. With the help of another relative,Evangelia Dolgira, we wrote a genealogy tree that dates back to 1840. In retrospect, I think that this,among so many other favorable memories, is part of the legacy Thanassis left to me. Rest in Peace,Theie Thanassi, I will always love you.
