WEST GARDINER, MAINE
Constance J. Bowie - age 85, of Neck Road, died on April 9, 2017 at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta from injuries she sustained from a fall at a local long term care facility. She was born in Augusta, ME on February 23, 1932 the daughter of Archelas Grenier and Alice (Bilodeau) Grenier.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Bowie was employed by Wal-Mart. She was previously employed by the State of Maine Department of Human Services for 25 years. She had also been employed by Bates Manufacturing Co. for 17 years.
Mrs. Bowie had attended St. Leo’s Chapel in Litchfield and she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Society.
She was predeceased by her parents; by a son Michael Bowie; a granddaughter Cathy Linton; by five brothers: Norman, Ralph, Raoul, Alfred and Emery Grenier; and five sisters: Juliette Greenleaf, Lilly Stoddard, Emelienne Lamontagne, Lorraine Sirois and Jeanne d’Arc Meyers.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Linton of Saco, ME and Debra Bowie of Colorado Springs, CO; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
There are no public visiting hours scheduled. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Monday April 17th at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Northern Ave., Augusta.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Maine Children’s’ Cancer Program, 22 Bramhall St., Portland, ME 04102 are preferred.
