CAROLYN J. RIEFFER 1934 - 2017
NORWICH - Carolyn (Pearson) (Wirth) Rieffer, 82, died April 10th at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to the late George and Edna Pearson on Sept 14, 1934. Carolyn worked all her life with the mentally challenged in AZ and at Seaside in CT.
She leaves behind her husband Bob Rieffer, sister Martha Pieratt (Ivan), and her children John Wirth (Susan), Susan Jonas (Rick), Patrick Wirth, Danny Wirth (Debbie), Peggy Lufkin (Ron), Mark Wirth (Deana), and Mary Wirth. Grandchildren Sarah and Johnny Wirth, Samantha Marinak, Berkly Wirth, Danielle and Ricky Jonas, Angela and Brandi Wirth, David Ali, Miranda and Trinity Wirth, Christopher Walls, Susanne Wirth and 16 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Thomas Wirth, granddaughter Jaclyn Wirth and great granddaughter Delilah Ali.
Calling hours will be held on April 14th at Cummings Gagne Funeral Home at 82 Cliff St., Norwich from 6-8pm. A service will be held at noon on April 15th at the funeral home followed by the burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Norwich.
