Obituary for Henry L. Sterner
Henry L. Sterner, 78, died Sunday, April 16, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of Glenda J. (Henry) Sterner to whom he was married 56 years, July 1, 2016.
Viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown. The funeral service will begin on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Mortuary with Pastor Robert S. Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York.
Born May 27, 1938, in Shrewsbury, Henry was the son of the late Clarence S. and Mildred (Godfrey) Sterner. Henry attended Shrewsbury Assembly of God. He retired from Tri-Plas in Emigsville after 10 years of service. Previously he had been employed with the former AMP and the former American Insulator in New Freedom. He enjoyed blue grass music and NASCAR racing.
In addition to his wife, Henry is survived by a sister, Darlene Kline and her husband, Eugene of Shrewsbury.
