Obituary for Myrtle Louise Tull Outten

Myrtle Louise Tull Outten, 86, died on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at her Pocomoke City home.

Born Tuesday, June 17, 1930, in New Church, VA and baptized July 17, 1994, she was a daughter of the late Lillie Hall Tull and Fred R. Tull.

Louise was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pocomoke City and Gideon’s International Auxiliary. Following graduation in 1947 from Atlantic High School, she was a telephone operator in Salisbury for 3 years and 8 months before transferring to Pocomoke City. She also worked for Duncan Brothers and was a poultry grower with her husband, Willard D. Outten, for 33 years.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Jean McFord; a nephew, William McFord and several cousins and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Willard D. Outten on April 8, 2015 and one brother, Edward Lewis McFord on June 29, 2008.

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Wayne Ayer, will be held at the Holloway Funeral Home in Pocomoke City on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at 2:00 PM, where family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Remson Methodist Cemetery in Pocomoke.

Memorial contributions may be made to, Gideon’s International Memorial Bible Fund Chairman, P.O. Box 1215, Salisbury, MD 21802 or to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 204 Fourth Street, Pocomoke City, MD 21851.
