Frankfort – Nancy Brenda Mattox Breeze, age 71, went home to be with the Lord on April 18, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Services for Ms. Breeze will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Friday, April 21, 2017, at 1: 30 p.m. with Pastor Bob Baker officiating, assisted by Rev. Robert Cable. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017.

Nancy was born December 6, 1945, to the late Mitchell and Laura Quire Mattox. She was also
preceded in death by her brother, Roland Mattox and sisters, Katherine Anderson and Francis Arlene Gardner.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Tanya (Tony) Simpson; sons, Jason Brown and Brian Brown; grandchildren, McKenna (Dusty) Allison, Tristyn Brown, Trinity Garr, Matthew Carpenter, Jaydon Garr, and Cole Brown; brother, Mitch (Chris) Mattox; sisters, Betty Gardner and Deborah (Tim) Smith. She was also blessed with several nieces and nephews.

Nancy retired from the Kentucky Department of Education and was an active member of the Frankfort First Assembly of God. She volunteered for the Church Women’s Ministry and the Franklin County Women’s Shelter. She most enjoyed time spent with family and her close friends, Lola Howard and Dottie Hawthorne. In addition to caring for her beloved pets, she enjoyed traveling, gardening, and shopping.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dusty Allison, Matthew Carpenter, Jaydon Garr, Mark Gardner, Ransom Mattox, and Pete Mattox. Honorary pallbearers will be Cole Brown, McKenna Allison, Tristyn Brown and Trinity Garr.
