Obituary for David Earl Peaden

David  Earl   Peaden
David Earl Peaden took the hand of Jesus as he entered his eternal rest in heaven at 6:00 p.m. on April 17, 2017. He was a believer in Christ and was a founding member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Pace, FL.
David was preceded in death by his father, H.M. Peaden, his mother, Blannie J. Peaden, and two brothers, the Reverend Addison Peaden and Howard Peaden.
He is survived by his wife, Blanche A. Peaden, two sons and their wives, Paul David Peaden (Traci L. Peaden) and Zachary Thomas Peaden (Christle F. Peaden). He also left eight grandchildren: (Paul) Jase, (Zachary) Elijah, Micah, AnaBella, Josiah, LilyAna, Gabriel, and Zephraim. He helped raise Laura O’Dillon Harris and considered her a daughter instead of a niece. Her husband, Klent Harris and their children Micheal (Brittany), Victoria, and Logan also survive him. He is also survived by three brothers, Jack Harp (Pat), Royce Peaden (Silvia), Wayne Peaden (Brenda) and one sister, Lila Rood, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
David served his country in the US Army for three years, including a tour in Vietnam from March 1967-March 1968, and was honorably discharged in August 1969. He married Blanche A. O’Dillon on December 23, 1968 and together they raised two sons. He was known for his strict, but fair parenting. He instilled a love of God and a strong work ethic in both boys. David worked for Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. for 35 years in Research and Development.
Visitation will be at Immanuel Baptist Church on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. The Reverend Josh Wilson will officiate. Interment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations in memory of David be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, Lead Academy or Regency Hospice.
Active pallbearers will be Chad Craft, Brian Hardy, Micheal Harris, Joe Norris, Doy Peaden, Keenan Peaden, and Bill O’Dell.
