Obituary for Roberta Martha Richards

Roberta M. Richards, 65, died on April 18, 2017 at Luther Crest Nursing Home. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Emil J. and Martha (Beers) Jurchenko. She was the wife of Joseph Richards for 40 years. She was a member of Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Allentown and volunteered as Secretary/Treasurer, assisted with cleaning the church, and joyfully made pierogis on a regular basis. She enjoyed traveling, swimming at the YMCA/YWCA, spending time with friends and family and lovingly cared for her pets Duke and Flash. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Richard J. Jurchenko. Roberta was co-founder of Fasig’s Sugar & Spice, created homeopathic formulas for Dolisos and was employed at Visions Daycare. Survivors: Husband, Joseph Richards of Allentown; Daughter, Rochele Richards of Sacramento, California; Son, James Richards of Allentown; Brother, Robert Jurchenko and his wife Theresa of New Smithville and Ronald Jurchenko and his wife Carol of Bethlehem; and several nieces and nephews.
