Gloria Outwater
Gloria Elaine Outwater died April 19th 2017 in Waterford with her family by her side. Born in Norwich, July 11, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Hilda and Walter Streich. Gloria was raised, and raised her family in the Thamesville section of Norwich, marrying Donald Schrader in 1946.
Gloria enjoyed a large circle of family and friends, serving many years as treasurer of the Bozrah Congregational Church. In her later years she enjoyed playing cards and visiting with friends at the Norwich and Bozrah Senior Center.
In1971 Gloria married Dr. George Outwater, living for 40 plus years in Bozrah, assisting him in his Norwich veterinary practice.
She was predeceased by her husband George in 2002 and her son Donald Schrader Jr. in 2000. She is survived by her sister Marion Prescott of Waterford, her sons James Schrader and wife Ilona of Sterling, CT, Robert Schrader and wife Caren of Northampton, Ma., Russell Schrader and his wife Nancy of Lisbon, CT, and daughter-in-law Rachel Schrader of Sprague, CT. She also leaves 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on April 29th 2017 at 11AM at the Bozrah Congregational Church. Burial
will be private at the convenience of the family.
