Obituary for Elvey Davis Jr.

Elvey Geuel "Bud"Davis Jr. age 57 of Cropwell, died April 24, 2017, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham, Al. Graveside service will be 1p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Oakhill Cemetery with Donald and Rhonda Morgan officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elvey Geuel Sr. and Alice Hester Davis; brother Joseph M. Davis.
Survivors include his son Joseph Michael Davis of Vincent, Ala.; mother of his child, Stephanie Davis of Vincent, Ala: brother Ricky Davis of Florida.;sister Robbin Scrivner (Don) of Northport, Ala.;and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Bud had great personality and never met a stranger. He was always friendly, joking, and smiling in the midst of his pain and life struggles. Bud was a very carrying man who loved the Lord, his son and family. Fishing was his favorite pastime.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Burton, Hugh Wyatt, Ken Rogers, Greg and Wallace Johnston and Lane Hester.
Honorary pallbearers are family and all friends. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to Heart Association.
