Age 84 of St. Paul’s East Side

Sam was born on July 30, 1932 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was one of seven children to Jenette (Veneziano) and Samuel Crea. He was a deputy sheriff for Ramsey County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jenette (nee Veneziano) and Samuel; his wife, Mary Ann (nee McGlade); life partner Joan Illi; his son, Patrick “Pat”; and his siblings, Pat, Mary, and Tony. Survived by son, Jimmy Crea of St. Paul; daughter, Denys (Charlie) Cerny of Chanhassen; his grandchildren, Tyler Cerny, Sam Crea, Chris Crea, and Charlotte Crea; great-granddaughter, Grace; his siblings, Jimmy, Florence, and Franny; and many other family and friends.

The only visitation time will at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Assumption, 51 West 7th Street, St. Paul, with interment to follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Dates and times are pending at the moment.
