Obituary for Blaine Killen Fisher

Blaine Killen Fisher
Blaine Killen Fisher, 42, of rural Centre Hall, died Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center at State College.

He was born, May 25, 1974 at State College, a son of William Blaine and May E. Killen Fisher of rural Centre Hall.

Blaine was a graduate of State College High School. During his High School years, he earned the Billy Mitchell Award as a result of his work with the Civil Air Patrol. He loved flying, caving, being out of doors, hiking and snow skiing, and sports cars. He served as a drummer for multiple bands including the Heevah Hava Band with whom he was involved in recording music.

He worked at Lunkin Airport in Cincinnati, Ohio and more recently as a maintenance person at Green Hills Village at State College.

Surviving in addition to his parents, is one daughter Erie Sage Fisher of Covington, KY; two sisters, Margaret Elizabeth Doerzbacher (Ralph) and Lori Anne Forman (Chaplain Major Dan Forman), Colorado Springs, CO., five nieces and nephews, Tara and Captain Ryan Doerzbacher; D.J. , Elizabeth and Samuel Forman.

Friends will be received from 1 - 2 pm Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service PC, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. A memorial service will follow at 2 pm at the funeral home, with Chaplain Major Dan Forman and the Reverend Randy Smyre officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to members of the family.
