Obituary for Debbie Samuels
Debbie Samuels, age 56 of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Grandview Hospital. She was born in Williamson, West Virginia on April 23, 1961 the daughter of Tennis & Wamena (Scott) Dotson. She was a member of the Park Layne United Brethren Church and the Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church, Urbana. She was a nurses aide at Harborside and Springcreek Nursing Homes. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and her most precious joy in life was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband William Samuels, children Harold D. (Meghan) Lutz, Christiana L. Lutz, Nathan and Jesse, Cathy Hobson, William Samuels Jr., and Robert Samuels, grandchildren Eden E. Lutz, Peter Lutz and Jessilynn Evans, her 1st husband Harold Lutz, brothers Jim, Earmel, Tim, Steve, and David Dotson, sisters Patty Miller, Diane Casey and Nellie Hoff, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters Lois Moore and Margaret Dotson.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Roland Albert officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
