Funeral services for Anna Lee Blount 94, Athens have been scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Friday at the First United Methodist Church, Athens with Rev. Jason Smith officiating.
Private burial will follow at Athens Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blount passed away Sunday in Tyler.
Anna Lee was born April 27, 1923 in Cleburne, Texas. She spent her whole 36 year career with the Dallas Independent School District as a Registered Dietician serving in many different positions. She has been a resident of Athens for the past 17 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years Floyd Blount, Athens, brother; Robert nelson Foster and wife Sandra, Sulphur, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jim Owens, Vic Taylor, Tom Corn, Doug Blyth.
Honorary Pallbearer is Billy Mitchell.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at the First United Methodist Church from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. prior to the service on Friday.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 911 Athens, Texas 75751.
