Mary "Betty" L.  Tuttle Hagstrom
Mary L. “Betty” Tuttle Hagstrom, 90, of Cheyenne passed away May 4, 2017, at Davis Hospice Center.

She was born July 22, 1926, in Cheyenne to Maurice and Geraldine VerBrugge. She married F. W. Terry Tuttle in 1947, and had 4 children. Betty & Terry formed Tuttle Oil Lease Service in 1950. In the early 1960's they purchased property on Central Ave and started the House of Bridge. In the mid 60's they purchased the Buffalo Bar in Laramie, WY. Betty also purchased the Legislative Report. In the early 70's she obtained her Real Estate License where she developed numerous properties through out Cheyenne and in the mid 1980's she started Tuttle Real Estate. In 1974 she bought into the Cheyenne Electric Company. In 1975 she established Laramie County Construction Company. In 1981 Betty and other partners built T-Joes Bar and Dance Hall. Betty built the first Commercial building on Dell Range, The Spruce Ridge Plaza in 1985. In 1994 Betty married Arvid E. Hagstrom , who preceded her in death in 2007. She was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral, American Legion Post #6 Auxiliary, AmVets Post#10 Auxiliary and was a Life Master in Duplicate Bridge and a very avid poker player.

She is survived by her children, Evelyn Welsh (Harvey Sorick), Mike Tuttle, Pat Tuttle and Mary (Jim) Myers all of Cheyenne; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Terry Tuttle and Arvid Hagstrom; sisters, Geraldine VerBrugge, Margaret Allen and Evelyn Baldwin.

Visitation will be Wednesday 1:00 p.m. followed by Vigil for the Deceased at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A Funeral Liturgy will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Cathedral with interment to follow in Olivet Cemetery.

Celebration of Life will be at T-joes Steakhouse from 1pm – 4pm.
