Obituary for Tammey Jean Shriver

Tammey Jean Shriver passed away May 8, 2017 in Mexia at the age of 58. Funeral services will be 2 PM, Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Pastor James Rincker officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Troy S. Blanton, April K. Price, Brad Allen, Charles Todd, Michael Todd and Steve Todd.

Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p. m., Wednesday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.

Tammey was born November 24, 1958 in Houston, Texas to Gerald Steven and Shirley Jean Miller Todd. She was an employee of the Mexia Wal-Mart Deli Food Department.

Family was most important to Tammey, especially her son, Brad, who was the love of her life. She loved to cook for her family, enjoyed sewing, crocheting (when she was younger) and gardening. Tammey was a very organized person and someone who took pride in her work. She had, also, achieved a license in real estate. She had an outgoing personality and made friends easily. Tammey will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Steven Todd.

Tammey is survived by her son, Brad Allen of Mexia; mother, Shirley Todd of Mexia; sisters, Elaine Tabers of Liberty, Rebecca Stanley of Mexia and Cynthia Moreno and husband, George of League; brothers, Steve Todd and wife, Carol of Conroe, Mike Todd of Liberty and Charles Todd and wife, Jennifer of Daisetta; and a number of nieces and nephews.
