Teresa Anne Laney, 56, of Interlachen, passed from this life on Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. Born in Key West, Florida, she resided in Putnam County since 1974 coming here from Jacksonville. Teresa had been a registered nurse for over 30 years, having worked at Alachua General Hospital, Dr. Bruce Stechmiller and with Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. She had also been involved with the Girl Scouts as a Scout Leader for over 10 years. Teresa enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchild as well as caring for her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Rex Laney of Interlachen, a daughter, Stephanie Rochelle Nipple of Interlachen, her parents, Lee and Phyllis Lambert of Interlachen, 2 brothers, Mike Lambert (JoAnn) of Palatka and Tim Lambert (Sharon) of Kingsport, TN, a grandson, Issac Nipple, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family as well as her beloved dog, Sara. Teresa was also anxiously awaiting the birth of her 2nd grandchild Issabella, who is due soon.
Memorial services celebrating Teresa’s life will be at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at College Park Baptist Church with Bro. Darrell Jones and Chaplain Jakie Carmicle officiating.
