Obituary for William Lamb Hollenbeck

William Lamb Hollenbeck
April 4, 1937 - May 12, 2017

Bill is survived by his loving, devoted wife, Bernadette; two sons, William (Kelly) and Scott (Seneca); brother Gary (Olesia) Hollenbeck; numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Born in Munnsville, NY, Bill graduated from Alfred State, and worked as a design engineer at Alstom for over 30 years.

Bill was the rock of his family – steady and strong. Able to fix or build nearly anything; his workshop was his haven, and his home a testament to his craftsmanship and ingenuity. He was the anchor to Bernie’s sails until his diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, when Bernie became his rock, caregiver, and fierce, loving advocate until the very end.

Friends and family may call Tuesday, May 16 from 4-7 PM at the funeral home (495 N. Winton Rd.) Private interment will precede open service for family and friends. Service begins at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 17, at All Seasons Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park (210 Marsh Rd., Pittsford). Luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s name can be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 435 East Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620 (or www.alz.org).
