MARY FREMGEN DANAHER

East Greenbush – Mary Fremgen Danaher , age 90 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born at Brady Hospital in Albany, New York, on March 28, 1927. She was the daughter of the late John C. Fremgen and the late Mary Sennett Fremgen. Mary grew up in the City of Rensselaer, New York, and attended Fort Crailo School before graduating from St. John’s Academy in Rensselaer in 1946. She dearly loved her brothers, John J. Fremgen and James J. Fremgen, as well as her sister, Eleanor J. Fremgen, who all pre-deceased her. She was also pre-deceased by her sister-in-law, Helen Kemmy (John ) Fremgen.

Mary enjoyed working at Huyck Felt Company in Rensselaer where she met her late husband, Philip D. Danaher. Mary and Phil were blessed with four children, Philip J. (Laurie) Danaher, Paul D. (Darlene) Danaher, Ellen T. (Robert) Pardo, and M. Barbara (David) Hans. Mary was also blessed with eight grandchildren, Shannon B. (Matthew) McFarland, Kyle J. (Juliann) Pardo, Daniel M. Hans, Theresa L. Hans, Sean D. Danaher, Liam Danaher, P. Jared Danaher and Brynna M. Danaher.

Mary was also greatly loved by her great grandchildren, Langston McFarland and Zoey McFarland. Mary is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as her sister-in-law, Kathleen T. Dooley.

Funeral from the W. J. Lyons, Jr., Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer, Monday morning at 9:00 a.m., and 10 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit in East Greenbush where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
