Daman Bom was a philosopher, a theologian and a scholar. He loved his books, world news and his country of Nepal, and if he could engage you in a conversation on the news of Nepal, he couldn’t be happier. He was deep rooted in the traditions of his Hindu religion and his culture, yet open minded and accepting of the many different traditions he was exposed to.

Daman was gregarious, big hearted and loved people. He was incredibly generous to his family, friends and strangers alike, always looking for the best in everyone he met. The genuine goodness of his soul was readily apparent to all that met him and serves as a guiding light for how his children live their lives.

Daman was the last surviving member of 27th generation of the Bom nobility and is survived by his wife, Madhurie, the love of his life and his 5 wonderful children, of whom he was infinitely proud.
