Old Bennington, VT- Louise E. Jewett, 66, of Monument Avenue died peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Bennington Hospital with her loving husband by her side. Born in Albany, Louise was the daughter of the late Vincent (Phyllis) Cotugno and Elizabeth (Alfred) Davenport. Louise attended St. John’s Academy in Rensselaer. As a cherished homemaker, Louise enjoyed gardening, cooking, decorating, traveling and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She was proud to be one of the “Lake Placid Girls” of the Brunswick Elks Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Charles Jewett, her children; Tim (Curt Halstead) Jewett and Casey (Scott) Sacci along with her grandchildren; Alyssa Jewett, Aaron Jewett, Isabella Sacci, Sophia Sacci and Great grand daughter, Alayna Stevens. She was also survived by her siblings, George (Denise) Cotugno, Anthony (Tracy) Cotugno, Jim (Lil) Cotugno, Gary Cotugno, Tim (Marlene) Davenport and Terry Davenport; along with several nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Maureen Davenport. Louise is now at peace and in the loving arms of her son, the late Ronald Jewett where she will watch down over her loved ones. A brief funeral service will be held Thursday, May 18th, 7 p.m. at the W.J. Lyons Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave, Rensselaer. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the funeral.
