Obituary for Edwina Bales

Edwina  Bales
Edwina Bales, 83, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 in Arlington.

There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington with Reverend Randy Bales officiating.
Memorial gifts may be made to Meals on Wheels and Arlington Charities.

Edwina was born on July 17, 1933 in Prattville, Alabama to Woodrow Wilson Johnson and Ethel Odie Neeley Johnson. She was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. An Arlington resident for the past 42 years, she was a member of First Christian Church of Arlington. Edwina enjoyed reading, bridge playing and watching Jeopardy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and a sister.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Perry Curtis Bales; son, Eddy Bales and wife, Leslie; daughters, Lynn Runyan and husband, Jim, Debbie Bales Heath and husband, Larry, and Jenny Bales; brothers, Herbie Johnson and wife, Nita, Donnie Johnson and wife, Theresa, and Johnny Johnson; sisters, Shirley Kopf and husband, Royce, and Kay Parton and husband, Herman; grandchildren, Susan, Sarah, Amanda, Sloan, Savannah, Gavin and Macy.
