DAVIE, Margaret A. “Ginger Snap”
“One tough Cookie”
of Erin, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 19, 2017 at the age of 86 . Margaret was born, October 13, 1930 in Phelps, NY, daughter to the late Bert and Eva Rotner Beach. Margaret is preceded in death by her sister, Helen and brother, Burton. She is survived by her loving husband, David A. Davie; her children, Linda (Dave) Durfee, Carolyn Ackler, Steve Gage, Pamela (Jan) Keller, Kim (Yusef) Al-Mkhaizim, David Davie (Karen Keenan), and Rebel (Brian) Watts; thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; brother Richard Beach and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her four legged companion Molly. Margaret was blessed with 52 years of marriage and will be lovingly remembered for the care and thoughtfulness of raising such a large family. She loved to read and go “tootling” to the casino’s. She also enjoyed and always looked forward to her gatherings with her family. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan’s Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 11AM-1PM with her Funeral Service to follow. She will be laid to rest at Scotchtown Cemetery immediately following.
