Loretta Frances Sears, age 73, of Temple died on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at a local hospital. She was born on the 14th day of December 1943 to Raymond and Lorene (Kocyerek) Sears in Wharton County, Texas.

Loretta received a Master’s Degree from the University of Texas in Education and led a long career as a teacher. She was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Temple and also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She has been a resident of Temple for the past 20 years.

She is preceded in death by her father Raymond.

Loretta is survived by her mother Lorene Sears of Temple as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church in Temple on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 12:00 PM with a visitation starting at the church at 11:00 AM. A burial will follow immediately after the Mass at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.
