Obituary for Alfred Ray Edwards Jr.

Blacksburg -- Alfred Ray Edwards Jr., 65, of 217 North Charleston Street, passed away Saturday, May 27th, 2017, at his residence.

Born in Roanoke, VA, he was the husband of Judy Parker Edwards and the son of Susie Edwards Gross and the late Alfred Ray Edwards Sr. Mr. Edwards retired as a quality engineer and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

In addition to wife and mother, Mr. Edwards is survived by three sons, Shane Edwards, Todd Edwards, and Raymond Rickert; two daughters, Meagan Edwards and Pamela Cooper; three brothers, Homer, Michael, and Robert Edwards; three sisters, Dianne Harmon, Patricia Hooker, and Lisa Edwards; and fourteen grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Jason Edwards.

Arrangements for Mr. Edwards will be announced at a later date.

The family will be at their respective homes.
