Eddie L. Johnson - age 67, of Hunt Road, died unexpectedly on May 24, 2017 at Alfond Center for Health in Augusta, ME. He was born in St. Louis, MO on August 20, 1949 the son of Benjamin J. Johnson and Luzeffie (Sims) Johnson.
Eddie served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
He was employed by Bath Iron Works for several years.
Eddie was predeceased by his mother, father and a sister, Senora Edwards.
Surviving is his wife, Tammy L. (Hall) Johnson of Vassalboro, ME; two daughters: Yolanda Johnson and Fonda Johnson of St. Louis, MO; a brother, George Lee Johnson of Hartford, CT; 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no public visiting hours. A Celebration of Eddie’s Life will be held at 12 pm on June 22, 2017 at First United Pentecostal Church, 15 Wilson St., Augusta, ME. Burial of his urn with military honors will be in Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta, ME. A reception will follow at First United Pentecostal Church, 15 Wilson St Augusta, ME.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, ME.
