Wilbur G. Wright, 73, died Sunday, May 28, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pine City Cemetery in Wilcox County, Ga. The family may be contacted at his residence.

Wilbur was born in Pitts, Ga. to the late Willie Cecil Wright and Lillian Burnett Wright. Bill Wright, Wilbur’s brother, precedes him in death. He was a farmer and enjoyed bird hunting and watermelon harvesting. He was member of Northern Heights Baptist Church and enjoyed singing Gospel music.

Wilbur is survived by his wife: Pam Wright of Cordele; his daughters: Melissa Wright of Fitzgerald and Mallory Wright of Cordele; and his sisters: Delores Wells of Pineview, Wylene (Roy) Bohannon of Pitts and Lorie (Larry) Smith of Pineview.
