Obituary for Paul A. Lipyanek

Paul A. Lipyanek , 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.

Born and raised in Newark to the late Mathew and Anna Lipyanek, he went on to serve our country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Lipyanek married the late Lorraine Kluczek in 1956 before settling in Fords in 1976.

Paul worked as Safety Personnel for AT&T and later at Lucent Technologies of Murray Hill for 35 years before his retirement in 1989.

Mr. Lipyanek was a proud member of the Republican Party and enjoyed fishing and the quality time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, and great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lorraine in 2015, and his dear siblings, John E. Lipyanek, Michael Lipyanek, Steven, Lipyanek, and Anne Lipyanek and his precious great granddaughter Natalya.

Surviving are his two daughters, Diane Perez and her husband Richard of Fords and Susan Bottone and her husband Mike of Flemington; son, Paul A. Jr and his wife Donna of Pittstown; four grandchildren, Anthony and his wife Tanya, Nicholas, Joseph and his wife Michelle & Karen, and his four great grandchildren, Lee, Elliott, Gabriella and Ivan.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080.

Funeral services will begin at 9:00AM on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00AM Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. James R.C. Church, 369 Amboy Avenue, Woodbridge.

Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Paul’s memory to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, 3401 Civic Center Blvd. Philadelphia, PA 19104
