Helen Mrytle Stidham
Mother and Dad loved and cherished each other and were married 68 years when our Dad was called to heaven to build a beautiful new home for he and Mom .On June 6th, 2017, his work was finished and Our Dear Mother, Helen Myrtle Stidham, 87, passed away to forever be with her Husband and our Dad. Graveside Service will be 10:15 a.m. Monday, June 12, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Our Mother, Helen was born Dec. 28, 1929, to John and Ethel Rust in Childress, Tx. On November 5, 1945 Helen married the love of her life Charles Clayton Stidham at First Baptist Church in Quemado, Tx. Helen’s trust in Charles was absolute not always knowing where there travels would take them but always knowing when they got there she was exactly where she wanted to be, beside Charles. Helen, a devoted wonderful mother to 7 children; who kept her heart laughing and her purse filled with Band-Aids, felt she had no greater accomplishment then her 68 years of marriage to Charles and her 7 children: Myrna Baker, Helen Baxter, Charles Stidham Jr., Janet Auld, Roy Stidham, Lura Puryear, and Patrick Stidham. In addition, their exceptional family includes 28 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. A devoted Wife, Mother, grandmother and friend is loved by many and will be greatly missed.
