Some friendships last a lifetime. Flan and I grew up with over 100 other neighborhood kids on East Terrace in small town Millinocket. We were all one huge family, darting in and out of each other's homes as if they were our own. We shared college years and lots and lots of parties. We shared our middle years catching up and talking a lot about travel and mostly about fishing, because Flan LOVED fishing and everything related to fishing, including fly tying, the right canoe, and Daisey Pond. And we shared our senior years back in the old neighborhood and at our camps that face each other across the cove on Millinocket Lake where we would wave and cheer each other from our wharves. My friendship with Flan continued throughout our lifetimes, and there was always a great deal of laughter shared at some of the antics we did over the years. I will miss you dearly, my friend. Huge Hugs, Flan, from your lifetime friend. Rest in peace and grace until we meet again. With best love, Gaile
