Jay Robinson

To Cathy and the Flanagan family, My deepest sympathies in the passing of this great man. I always had a deep respect for Flan in facing life with his polio. He and I had a deep love for fly fishing. In his younger years he loved fishing Lost, Slaughter and Foss-Knowlton Ponds. Later on, Daicey and Sourdnahunk were his favorites. Spring Brook was his favorite. I'd see him in the mill or at Hannaford's and we'd talk about our fishing exploits. He'd tell me what flies he'd used and I'd get a few for my next fishing trip. And the Red Sox. We'd talk about how good or bad they were doing. I loved that guy! The Flanagan family and the Robinson family went way back to when my parents and his were close friends, even way back to school days and growing up in the 30's and 40's. Now, as I fish some of his favorite ponds,I will forever remember him. Rest in peace, Flan. You were a great guy!
