Condolence From: Ellen Bozeman
Condolence: David was one of the nicest people I've ever known; a truly good person. I will always remember the fun times we as teens going to games and tearing around Bar Harbor in Go carts. David was funny and witty and a good sport but we could NOT interrupt his favorite sport event of the day, usually Red Sox or Patriots. He will be missed.

Condolence: To Cathy and the Flanagan family,
My deepest sympathies in the passing of this great man. I always had a deep respect for Flan in facing life with his polio. He and I had a deep love for fly fishing. In his younger years he loved fishing Lost, Slaughter and Foss-Knowlton Ponds. Later on, Daicey and Sourdnahunk were his favorites. Spring Brook was his favorite. I'd see him in the mill or at Hannaford's and we'd talk about our fishing exploits. He'd tell me what flies he'd used and I'd get a few for my next fishing trip. And the Red Sox. We'd talk about how good or bad they were doing. I loved that guy! The Flanagan family and the Robinson family went way back to when my parents and his were close friends, even way back to school days and growing up in the 30's and 40's. Now, as I fish some of his favorite ponds,I will forever remember him. Rest in peace, Flan. You were a great guy!

Condolence: Dear Cathy and family, I was saddened to read of David's passing. We were classmates and friends in High school. We spent time together in and out of school. David was a serious young man who also had a great sense of humor. He was an inspiration to many. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Condolence: Some friendships last a lifetime. Flan and I grew up with over 100 other neighborhood kids on East Terrace in small town Millinocket. We were all one huge family, darting in and out of each other's homes as if they were our own. We shared college years and lots and lots of parties. We shared our middle years catching up and talking a lot about travel and mostly about fishing, because Flan LOVED fishing and everything related to fishing, including fly tying, the right canoe, and Daisey Pond. And we shared our senior years back in the old neighborhood and at our camps that face each other across the cove on Millinocket Lake where we would wave and cheer each other from our wharves. My friendship with Flan continued throughout our lifetimes, and there was always a great deal of laughter shared at some of the antics we did over the years. I will miss you dearly, my friend. Huge Hugs, Flan, from your lifetime friend. Rest in peace and grace until we meet again. With best love, Gaile
