Dear friends, Les Jones was a class sponsor at Mitchell High School for many years. He was absolutely the favorite and never failed to attend and give us words of wisdom. He will be missed by all for his caring, wisdom and sense of humor. Our sincere sympathy to you all.

Condolence: Our thoughts and prayers go out to all Lester's family and friends. We met Les in 1972 as he was selling us insurance, we found Les to be a caring individual. Even after we moved to Alaska in 78 he kept in contact with us for many years and wanting us to stop by when we were in the Bluffs. He was a great man that lived a wonderful life and shared his ideals with everyone he met. God Bless.

Condolence: Our deepest sympathy on the loss of your father and grandfather. We both had the privilege of being in his SHS American History class in the early sixties and we both agree that we never knew a better more respected teacher in our years at SHS. When Les started his career in the insurance business' we began building our family insurance portfolio with his guidance and became close friends and enjoyed many conversations when he visited us at our home in Colorado. He truly was one of the nicest, most caring individuals we have ever known. He will be greatly missed.

Condolence: My sincere sympathy on the loss of your father and grandfather. Mr. Jones had a great impact on my life. He was my SHS American History and Political Science teacher. He encouraged me to "find my voice" in civil discourse, often challenging me on my liberal beliefs. He instilled my love of American History. I had the great opportunity at my 50th Class Reunion to thank him for his encouragement and challenging me to go beyond high school in something other than secretarial classes! Mr Jones was an inspiring teacher.
